Action Items for FY 09/10

• Inventory FY09/10 weeding projects in all collections across the libraries and list on this Wiki. This is an ongoing goal for the group.

• Work with Facilities to determine Annex projects and space available for temporary staging and storage.  List prioritized collection transfers to the Annex in this Wiki under the Annex section of the sidebar. This is an ongoing goal for the group.
• Implement guidelines specified in the Off Site Storage Policy document.
• Hold a group meeting at the Annex to provide opportunity for on-site review and discussion of Annex topics
• Determine how many volumes could be sent to SRLF, develop priorities for the current FY08/09 submissions. List on this Wiki under the SRLF section on the sidebar. If these submissions exceed the current UCSD quota of 17,500 volume equivalents, draft a proposal for an SRLF allocation increase if necessary. This is an ongoing goal for the group.
• Implement project planning best practices/tools to maximize the opportunity to balance workload and foster communication between groups and individuals involved in collection projects.
• Revisit the possibility of inventory as collection management tool. Reassess the potential of assistance from handheld device[s] and develop alternative methods as required. Consider the Annex for an inventory.
• Support the development of shared print initiatives. In the coming fiscal year this will include potential participation in WEST shared print repository. This is an ongoing goal for the group.
